DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Amanda Johnson & Company is a South African textbook supplier and bookseller, marketing school textbooks and related educational products and resources.

SUPPLY & DELIVERY POLICY

We stock items on booklists of schools where we are the preferred supplier as far as is possible, but we remain dependent on the supplier/importer/publisher having stock. Should the items you require not be in stock at the time of your purchase, please check back with us in 7–10 days.

Delivery of goods will be made via courier only. All book orders and packages incur a delivery charge, the value of which will be determined by the weight of the parcel, or a set cost, depending on the nature of the order.

Please note that response and delivery times will be longer during the very busy "BACK TO SCHOOL" season, namely from November to February.

RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

In cases of delayed availability outside of the "BACK TO SCHOOL" season, from March to October, Amanda Johnson & Company will fully refund the customer should the order be cancelled due to the delay. This refund will be made in full within 30 days.

Cancellation of orders for reasons other than delayed availability by the client will be considered at the discretion of Amanda Johnson & Company only after a written request by the customer has been submitted via email to info@amandajohnson.co.za.

Please note that should your return and/or request for cancellation of an order be confirmed, a courier fee to collect the order, along with a 10% administration/handling fee of the order value, will be charged for your account.

On return, any/all books will only be accepted back by Amanda Johnson & Company if said books are in a resalable condition. To ensure this, books are to be re-packed and wrapped by you, ensuring they are able to be safely transported.

Incorrectly supplied books or any other returned item will only be considered for exchange/replacement if Amanda Johnson & Company is given notification of the problem within 7 working days of receiving the book, and the book is returned in mint condition.

No returns will be accepted later than 14 days from the time the customer received the books.

Please note that NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON WORKBOOKS as these are FIRM SALE ITEMS.

Amanda Johnson & Company reserves the right to cancel any order or part of an order without giving any reason. In the event of this happening, we will refund any money already paid in respect of that order, or part of that order.

CUSTOMER PRIVACY POLICY

Amanda Johnson & Company will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of its customers. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment for your purchase can be made via Visa or Master Card credit cards or by Instant EFT Bank Transfer directly into the bank account of Amanda Johnson & Company. Please note that orders will only be processed and packed once payment has reflected in said bank account.

CREDIT CARD ACQUIRING & SECURITY

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Amanda Johnson & Company by PayGate, which is the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank Group Limited. Shopify uses https://, Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure, and uses an SSL security certificate. In simple terms, this certificate encrypts the communication between the website and its visitors. Therefore, the information you enter on our website is processed securely, ensuring that cyber criminals cannot steal your data.

GENERAL CUSTOMER DETAILS

General customer details entered by the client on our secure website will be stored separately from credit card details by Amanda Johnson & Company. 

MERCHANT OUTLET COUNTRY & TRANSACTION CURRENCY

The transaction currency is ZAR (South African Rand). The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa.

COUNTRY OF DOMICILE

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Amanda Johnson & Company chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 22A Chapman Road, Klippoortjie, Germiston, 1401.

FORCE MAJEURE

In the event of services being delayed or impossible to fulfil due to circumstances outside the control of Amanda Johnson & Company (PTY) Ltd, Amanda Johnson & Company (PTY) Ltd cannot be held liable.

VARIATION

Amanda Johnson & Company may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
